Chanukah begins in 27 days. Give before the first candle

Give monthly

A box at the door, every week of the year.

A monthly gift keeps our volunteers on their routes in the quiet months too, not only before the holidays. You choose the amount, and you can change or stop it any time.

Why monthly

  • 01

    Weekly boxes, all year

The holiday boxes get the photographs. The weekly delivery is what holds a household together in the months nobody is watching.

  • 02

    Hundreds already give this way

Hundreds of people give to Feed Israel every month. Gifts that arrive every month let us plan the routes ahead.

  • 03

    Yours to change

Pick the amount. Change it, pause it or stop it any time on the donor page.

Who the boxes go to

  1. An older woman in a headscarf and an older man smile at a kitchen table behind a large Feed Israel box, two volunteers seated beside them.

    01Seniors on a pension

A pension that stopped covering the week

Many of the people on the routes are older and live alone. A box at the door means the holiday table is set without a trip to the shop or a choice between food and medicine.

19.3% of seniors who live alone in Israel are below the poverty line Source: National Insurance Institute, Poverty Report 2024, p. 3

  2. Older women and men, among them Holocaust survivors, share a hot lunch at a long table in a seniors' club, a Feed Israel volunteer nearby.

    02Holocaust survivors

Survivors who shouldn't have to ask

Holocaust survivors living alone are among the first names on the list before every holiday. Volunteers bring the food, sit down for lunch at the club, and stay for the company.

  3. A mother in her coat, handbag still on her shoulder, unpacks shopping bags in a small kitchen while her two sons help put the food away.

    03Single parents

    One income, a full house

Single parents carry the rent, the children and the holiday on one paycheck. A delivered box frees the week's money for everything else.

₪9,401 a month keeps a single parent with two children above the poverty line Source: National Insurance Institute, Poverty Report 2024, Table 2

  4. A mother in a headscarf makes sandwiches at the kitchen counter while her toddler tugs at her skirt, her daughter eats cereal with her school bag on and her son ties his shoe.

    04Reservist families

When one parent is called up

When a parent is away on reserve duty, the other carries the family alone. Food at the door is one less thing to hold together.

About 1 in 5 reservists' spouses worked less than usual in 2025, to carry the family alone Source: Bank of Israel, Annual Report 2025, p. 137
